Another annoyance I have with Adobe Updater is that InDesign keeps wanting to update itself but fails saying that the program could not be found to be updated... It's rather annoying.

I have a program called AppFresh (http://metaquark.de/appfresh/) to which I'm delegating my system/software updates. It consolidates all my apps' updating sources and ties into the social site iusethis.com
Not sure if there is something similar available for the PC, but I've found it helpful on many levels.

I Agree! I sitting here trying to work and all of a sudden a little window pops up "Please shutdown the following Applications: firefox.exe" WTF It is soo aggravating!

Couldn't agree with you more Chris. The Adobe updater is rather annoying and I too don't like the fact that it keeps telling me I have to close my browser (or other programs) to install the updates. I also agree with your suggested improvements of the updater.
