If they did that, I'd sure be a happy camper. :)

Re: cdharrison.com » archive » The app that Google forgot

Great idea Chris. I do wish GA had the stuff that MeasureMap has/had. Plus, feedburner integration would be great...not that anyone subscribes to my feed :(

Re: cdharrison.com » archive » The app that Google forgot

Wow, that's a great idea.

Measure Map, Feed Burner, plus some of the functionality from Google Analytics would make for a pretty fantastic package.

Re: cdharrison.com » archive » The app that Google forgot

Matt, yeah they were behind a lot of the new stuff that went into Google Analytics - and for the record, I think the new GA stuff looks awesome. I just wish it would track posts, comments, etc. like MeasureMap does. If they'd roll in the functionality of MM into GA, they could kill off MeasureMap for all I care.

What Google really needs to do is roll MeasureMap and Feedburner into Google Analytics and then we'd be set!

Re: cdharrison.com » archive » The app that Google forgot

I just missed out on MeasureMap....I tried to get an invite right after they were purchased by Google. The site said that they would doing a conversion and would let me know when it was available if I'd provide my email address, which I did. After many, many months I've heard nothing and haven't got to experience a blog stats tool tailored for blogging.

From what I've heard, the MeasureMap team was behind a ton of the updates to Google Analytics though its still tailored to business sites.

Re: cdharrison.com » archive » The app that Google forgot

@Josh, I think that's part of it... and don't get me wrong, I like the new updates to Google Analytics. It's just that those updates still aren't blog-centric like MeasureMap is.

When Jeff Veen joined Google it seemed like full steam ahead for MeasureMap. He even made a remark that, "By opening up the app to more bloggers through Google, we hope to help even more people become passionate about their blogs."

And that's what amazes me... When Google bought MeasureMap, they reiterated their commitment to the product... and then nothing. That's pretty uncharacteristic of Google...

Re: cdharrison.com » archive » The app that Google forgot

google.com/analytics update that included some of the whiz banginess from measure map.

This was a total assumption though, because Jeff Veen made that post to the Google blog, and he was (is?) the design lead of Measure Map.

Any thoughts on that?

Re: cdharrison.com » archive » The app that Google forgot

Sigh...Yeah I couldn't agree with you more Chris. I would honestly love for them to get back to updating it and adding new features. I can't believe that they haven't even given us another update or anything since the merger. Zip...nada...nothing. Not even a hey, how are you.

I'd really like to hear if they plan to update it, phase it out or merge it with GA or something, anything!
