Sigh...I was excited to see the trial version available, only to download and install it and for some strange reason, it wouldn't let me use the trial. :(

Hmm... did you originally run the Photoshop CS3 Beta? There are all sorts of problems people are experiencing with installing the full versions of Photoshop CS3 (and the other CS3 apps) if they previously had the Photoshop Beta installed...

Well I was running the Fireworks Beta but I actually just reinstalled WinXP on my computer the other day so I doubt that would be a problem.

I'll try it again and see what happens.

No dice. I reinstalled it and am still getting the following error message:

"A problem was encountered while trying to load the trial period for Adobe Photoshop CS3."

That sucks :\ Have you tried installing it while logged in as Administrator with only system-critical services running + windows installer?

I got the same thing, downloaded pscs3 ext and dreamweaver and both of them share the same message which is "problem with the trial" this is getting on my nerve.

Installed with no problems, but it took em like 25 minutes to install which was weird.

If it only took 25 minutes, consider yourself lucky ;) When installing CS3 Web Premium, installation attempts for me took anywhere from an 1.5 to 2 hrs...

Oh wow that's a long time to install some software.

I haven't tried while logged in as Administrator, yet. I might give it a try but I'm wondering if it is even worth it anymore.

Yeah, it is. Definitely try installing it as Administrator. Hopefully that will make a difference for you.

Do you guys think that lightroom can mess with the cs3? I have an old version of Lightroom. Beta 4. which expired now, but my 1.0 works good and worked in trial period also. confusing.

Any one can help? I can't seem to use CS3. After installing, I tried to select the trial version 30 days option but the error says: A problem was encountered while trying to load the trial period for Adobe CS3. Click quit to restart your computer or reinstalling the software fixes the problem. Otherwise, click continue to display a screen to enter valid serial number to being using product without trial.

I've tried reinstalling 3 times... repairing... changing the application.sif to .six and back, changing my computer date to 2006 but it still doesn't work at all.
I'm running on Win vista home premium 2 GB memory, nvidia Geforce 8400G graphic card. System requirement far exceeds that required I believe.

i have the same problem with premiere and photoshop
there doesn't seem to be a fix for it anywhere on the web

I had the trial running for a few days then my computer got smacked with a virus, and I was forced to completely restore my computer to factory settings... went to reinstall, reactivate trial (etc): "A problem was encountered while trying to load the trial period for Adobe CS3. Click quit to restart your computer or reinstalling the software fixes the problem. Otherwise, click continue to display a screen to enter valid serial number to being using product without trial" So, I believed they knew my computer was reset. So, I decided to try out Photoshop Trial (CS3), same problem. . . it's really annoying to get no feedback or help from the Adobe site, this problem persisted for actually more than 7 months: people had these problems and yet Adobe doesn't do squat. THANKS ADOBE

I recently rebooted my computer and before that all adobe products had worked fine but now i'm getting the same error message and it's really annoying. is there really no fix?

I have tried and tried to load this damn thing. My computer has been reformated, all the updates and patches. Every program I have downloded works great, and yes consider yourself LUCKY if you got it in 20 MINUTES. This is the free trial from HELL. While the clock is ticking on this steep learning curve of a program your losing time to learn. Guess what try daz 3d or RealDraw pro 4, Images in Context, Paint.net, Irfanview, stick em all together and U got photoshop. With less hard drive usage and loss of speed, PLUS most don't cost U 999.00 $. ur 14 to 30 days doesn't cost you pain, torment, and virus's to allow a stupid proggy to load while U leave ur comp defensless to allow it to load for 2-3 hours. Don't get me wrong Photoshop is a good program but if you must have it BUY THE DISK and load it while disconnected from the internet when you have plenty of time to waste and sit there telling your firewalls what to allow.How are you going to sell a product that that exaperates it's POTENTIAL customers and at an OIL PRICE HIGH. GET REAL. I have used PLENTY of free or trial products and done what photoshop does without the hassel of pissing me off. If they want you to try it then give your potential customers a real trial without the hassels. They put UR ass thru the torture, claim it's your problem , don't want to own up and then U pay them exobudent PRICES. For what? So we can all be future artists and give them credit so more gulible POOR artists can give up more money. If you want people to try your product, give them the support they need and are entittled to. ESPECIALLY if you are PRICE GOUGING them. At the price they charge they can afford to help people. If you can't ADOBE HIRE MORE TECH SUPPORT. U SUCK in my opinion. Your no different than and are worse than MICROSOFT. And there are PLENTY of people out there that KNOW what I am taking about! So if you are cash poor, strugglinling, and are searching for programs to express yourself check out the ones I mentioned and not to leave anyone out, deservedly there are many more out there that won't RAPE you. Some could be redone to allow you more flexibility by eliminating LIMITATIONS and WATERMARKS. You all know who U are! Change your policies B cause you have nothing to fear from ADOBE. Your stuff is easier to use, cheaper and quicker and not a resource hog. If you got a good product FLAUNT IT. Don't limit people piss them off, disappoint them cost them time money crashed systems no support. BE there for them and treat a free trial customer better than your paying customers. REMEMBER U DON"T HAVE THEIR MONEY YET! I'm done with my Rant and I will be deleting MY FREE TRIAL with ADOBE. I don't have the time to waste and I can still create without them. Believe me I bet you all have some of my stuff you just don't know it. And it works and is Impressive. And you'll all eventually see and or use my stuff no coutesey of Photoshop. They left us standing naked.

ky , you can put all the jelly on it you want, it won't work. I did everything. And WHY- why do you need photoslop? Pissed off artist you found out what their all about. Thaats why I went and got other progs.Masy1 it, no BUG, they need ridx to can the bugs in their brains if they have one. They're just pissing on you to make you doubt you yourself and your hardware. 30 days,29, 28,...3,2 Oh we fixed it, guess what your trial is up. Talk to support for 30 more days.MTC there is no fix except to buy the disk. But what do U get? No support when YOU NEED IT.How can you be creative when your pissed off! TRICK, the trick is- use a different program. the only thing messing with you your computer is their BS. Chris they don't care if your an administrtor. Yannick, by the time you get it to work you'll forget who you are and what you were working on. A BIG WORD of ADVICE- NEVER -EVER- USE -A -BETA -VERSION. If you like reformatting, losing all your unsaved data, 1-3 days downtime depending on how programs you use, cussing screaming, losing you girlfriend or getting a divorce or losing that nifty bonus or promotion because you lost you entire presentation- explain that to your BOSS that it was the fault of a BETA PROGRAM and the so called company will not TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for your loses or reimbusrse you or even GIVE you a FREE program when the beta version is thru testing. If you put you hard earned hardware and time in on testing shouldn't U get it free. They bought you for JACK! and you pay them to buy what you tested. NOT. I'm like all of you rolled up into one. Done,thru, gonna tell everyone on the planet, gonna start a revolution, Tired of being screwed over and I'm mad at seeing other people suffer.
